BIOGRAPHY:

Joining Fieldstone’s advisory team in 2018, Calaway provides an array of strategic and analytical capabilities to help both clients and portfolio businesses achieve scale while preserving founder equity. In advance of financings, mergers, acquisitions, or liquidating activities, he performs detailed research and evaluation of markets and capital sources, as well as candidate identification for acquisitions and buyers. He aids in developing projections, financial models, and structuring terms to accomplish client goals and facilitate viable transactions. During transactions, Calaway provides management and oversight for due diligence in both buy and sell-side mergers, acquisitions, and a variety of financings. Additionally, he supports a number of clients and portfolio companies in need of stopgap administrative functions, including investor relations, contract review, and record keeping. Calaway has sourced and secured significant funding for clients and helped structure several recent startups.

A Houston native, having earned his degree in Finance from Texas A&M University before earning a JD from South Texas College of Law, Calaway is licensed with the State Bar of Texas. He has substantial experience in contract negotiation, review, and drafting, as well as strategic business management. Prior to joining Fieldstone, he served as general counsel in the oil and gas servicing sector, provided litigation support for forensic accounting experts, and practiced as a transactional attorney.
